Dr. Ashok Kumar is among this elite group recognized for the exceptional research influence, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly-cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science™.
Dr. Vineet Gandhi was adjudged as an outstanding reviewer at the 39th International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML-2022) held at Baltimore, Maryland from 17 – 23 July.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Das has been included in the list of Web of Science (Clarivate™) Highly Cited Researcher 2022 in recognition for his exceptional research performance demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% for field and year.
Dr. Pawan Kumar was awarded the Qualcomm Faculty award-2022 in March.
Prof. Pradeep Kumar Ramancharla is the new Director of Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) at Roorkee.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Das is serving as a member of Technical Program Committee (TPC) for the 18th IEEE International Conference on Wireless and Mobile Computing, Networking and Communications (WiMob 2022), 2022, Thessaloniki, Greece from 10 – 12 October 2022.
K. Sai Deepak, in the first semester of his PhD program, Center for Visual Information Technologies (CVIT), was selected for 2012 Google PhD Fellowship. He was one of the four to be awarded the fellowship in India. Sai Deepak did Master of Science in Medical Image Analysis at CVIT, under the guidance of Prof. Jayanti Sivaswamy, in 2012.
IIIT-H’s Lab for Spatial Informatics (LSI) launched VRGeo, an open-source collaborative technology for mapping geospatial information in India, at Garuda NKN (National Knowledge Networks) Partners Meet, C-DAC, Bengaluru, on July 20, 2012
IIIT-H secured World No.3 place at the 10th Annual Trading Agent Competition Supply Chain Management (TAC SCM), in Valencia, Spain, June 4-8, 2012. TAC SCM was designed to capture many of the challenges involved in supporting dynamic supply chain practices. Check IIIT-H team IOTA in final rankings.
Mr. Jayadev, Head of Brand Building and Campus Placement received the following awards:
Music curriculum designed by IIIT-H’s Cultural Advisor Sri. D. V. K. Vasudevan was adopted by the Government of AP’s Education Department for the Jawahar Bal Bhavan. Jawahar Bal Bhavan is a state wide, non formal educational initiative and targets children aged between 5 and 16 years.
Seven PhD students received prestigious fellowships:
– 4 from TCS
– 1 from Google
– 1 from IBM Research
– 1 from Microsoft Research.
IIIT-H team (Mission Gaganyaan) won the third place at CANSAT-2011 competition held at Abilene, Texas, USA
Two IIIT-H teams were the in top 4 in the ACM – ICPC 2011 national contest.
Dr. Neelima Satyam, Earthquake Engineering Research Center (EERC) received the Young Engineers Award 2011-12 from Institution of Engineers.
Rajvi Shah (PhD student) from Center for Visual Information Technology (CVIT) received prestigious Google India PhD Fellowship for the Year 2013.
