MS position opening at Cognitive Science Lab, KCIS, IIIT-hyderabad, for 360-degree Virtual Environment and Virtual Reality Project
MS application is invited under the INMAS, DRDO and DST-CSRI funded project on “evaluation of 360-degree User Interface Design for making sense of space” at the Cognitive Science Lab, IIIT - Hyderabad.
Candidates interested in integrated approach of applied cognition and HCI, specifically cognitive psychology; virtual reality with and without eye-tracking; virtual environment; head mounted display; human computer interaction; and human factors, are highly encouraged to apply for the position.
The project aims to evaluate the impact of 360-degree visual display on spatial perception by employing virtual environment or virtual reality mode of interaction.
Desirable experience: Candidate should have programming skills. Working experience with game engines, such as Unity, would be preferable. Further, experience with conducting and designing experiments on platforms like Eprime and/or MATLAB will be appreciable. Also, readiness to learn data analysis using SPSS, STATS, or R will be desirable.
Duration of Appointment: 1 Year with a performance based renewal up to the completion of project (i.e. total two years).
