Deccan Chronicle Ranks IIIT-H Top 2 in Southern India
The Deccan Chronicle ranked IIIT-H Top 2 among engineering colleges in Southern India, in a survey limited to the southern states. The survey, conducted in May 2012, placed IIIT-H behind IIT Madras.
The Deccan Chronicle, a popular English newspaper in Andhra Pradesh, originally planned to conduct an all India survey. The newspaper had collected data for all colleges pan India, but changed its plan and published results only for southern India. This is the Deccan Chronicle's first ever survey of professional colleges in India.
As a policy, IIIT-H participates only in national level surveys by well reputed publications.
