Dr. Shubham Singhal received Best Paper Presentation Award for his research work on Study of Slope Stability Analysis of Hill Slopes with Retaining Walls at the 5th International Conference on Trends & Recent Advances in Civil Engineering (TRACE-2024) held on 15 and 16 October at Amity University, Noida. The other authors of this paper are Ravindra Kumar Tomar, Amity University and Ashish Tamang, 3Powergrid Corporation of India Limited, Mangan.

Earthquake Engineering Research Centre (EERC) faculty – Dr. Sunitha Palissery, Dr. P Pravin Kumar Venkat Rao and Dr. Shubham Singh have been inducted as panel members to the Earthquake Engineering Sectional Committee (EESC) of the Civil Engineering Division (CED-39) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for reviewing the Indian standards related to Earthquake Resistant Design and Construction.

Prof. Pradeep Kumar Ramancharla received the Eminent Engineer Award from Association of Consulting Civil Engineers, Hyderabad at HICC Novotel on 15 September.

Prof. Ashok Kumar Das has been appointed as a member of the Experts Review Committee (ERC) in the area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for technical evaluation of VAIBHAV fellowship proposals by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, International Cooperation Division, Government of India, for a term of three years, starting from June 2024.

Prof. K S Rajan is one of the jury members for selecting grand finale winners of Bhartiya Antariksh Hackathon (BAH). The hackathon is being organized as part of National Space Day – 2024 celebrations. Secretary, DOS/Chairman, ISRO launched the BAH programme on 4 July in the area of geospatial domain, space science, image processing and AI/ML. The programme is open for UG, PG and Ph.D students in India.
