Dr. Ashok Kumar is among this elite group recognized for the exceptional research influence, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly-cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science™.
Dr. Vineet Gandhi was adjudged as an outstanding reviewer at the 39th International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML-2022) held at Baltimore, Maryland from 17 – 23 July.

Dr. K. S. Rajan, Lab for Spatial Informatics (LSI) was awarded the Indian National Geospatial Award 2013 of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing.
Sanchari Sircar (PhD student), Center for Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics (CCNSB) were awarded the Best Poster and Oral Presentation Award for their paper Gene Co-expression Network Analysis of Oryza sativa under Abiotic Stressat  Symposium on Accelerating Biology.

– Fellow of the IEEE for contributions to digital signal processing research and education.
– Distinguished Alumnus Award from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Siladitya (PhD student) and Sandhya (PhD student), Center for Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics (CCNSB) were awarded Best Poster Award at Theoretical Chemistry Symposium (TCS 2014).
Prof. Rajeev Sangal, Language Technologies Research Center (LTRC) became a Fellow of the Computer Society of India.
IIIT-H team lead by Master of Science student Avinash Siravuru, Robotics Research Center (RRC) came within top twenty in the Simulating Reality Contest Winner conducted worldwide on the theme Modular robot design and analysis for the uneven terrain exploration.
Padmalata Nistala (PhD student), Software Engineering Research Center (SERC) conducted a 60 minute Session @ American Society for Quality (ASQ) titled A Synthesis Approach to Achieving Product Quality in Milwaukee, USA , May 2016.
Chandan Pradhan (Master of Science student) under the supervision of Dr. G. Rama Murthy, Signal Processing and Communication Research Center (SPCRC), was awarded Best Paper Award for their paper Full-Duplex Transceiver for Future Cellular Network: A Smart Antenna Approach” at International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunications Systems (ANTS 2015).
Sandhya Rai (PhD student) and Siladitya Padhi (PhD student), under the supervision of Dr. U. Deva Priyakumar, Center for Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics (CCNSB) were awarded Best Poster Award at Theoretical Chemistry Symposium 2015.    
Siddharth Tourani, Robotics Research Center (RRC) and Dr. K. Madhava Krishna Robotics Research Center (RRC) were awarded the Best Paper Runner-Up for their paper Using In-frame Shear Constraints for Monocular Motion Segmentation of Rigid Bodies, at ICVGIP 2014.
