Prof. Nimmi Rangaswamy and her student, Pratyay Suvarnapathaki, have been featured on the cover story of Interactions, one of ACM’s leading publications showcasing Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) research from around the world. The team presented the initial findings at the HCI Across Borders Workshop during CHI 2025, highlighting the often-invisible labor involved in idle waiting, repetitive workflows, and the interpretive work required to manage uncertainty in platform-based work.
