IIIT Hyderabad and National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), ISRO, Department of Space, Govt. of India, Hyderabad have signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a joint collaboration for Advanced Research and Development Project: Generation of climate Database and Assessment of Climate Change Impacts on Water Resources.
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Goes Digital – In early 2023, the vision to make Punjab Vidhan Sabha debates digitally accessible took shape. Today, this effort has become a reality through a collaborative project between Punjab University, IIIT Hyderabad, and C-DAC Noida, under the NLTM Bhashini Project, funded by MeitY.
An MoU has been signed between Ati Motors Inc, https://atimotors.com/ and IIIT Hyderabad to explore research collaboration in the area of Warehouse Robotics. This collaboration will be led by Prof. K Madhava Krishna, Head of the Robotics Research Center, IIIT Hyderabad. Specifically the areas of interest include Map-less navigation in indoor and outdoor environments without High Definition (HD).
IIITH hosted LoDEStonE 2024, a 12-day residential program designed to blend design thinking, sustainable development, and innovation. 36 highly able children aged 11-14 years came together to tackle contemporary challenges. The event was a collaborative effort between IIITH and the Pravaha Foundation, with contributions from esteemed educational and social development partners.
E-Cell, IIIT Hyderabad, was specially invited to participate in E-Merge, organised by E-Cell-IIT Hyderabad. E-Merge was a gathering of various innovation and entrepreneurship bodies from reputed institutions of India where the representatives discuss, share and chart the path ahead for student entrepreneurship in educational institutions.
The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) at IIIT Hyderabad recently hosted its flagship event, Megathon, marking yet another successful edition of Hyderabad’s largest student-run hackathon. The 24-hour coding marathon attracted over 400 students from 30 colleges and universities across Telangana, competing for a total prize pool of 4 Lakh INR.
Mr. Tuure-Eerik Niemi, Deputy Consul General from the Consulate General of Finland in Mumbai, visited IIITH and had a meeting with Prof. P J Narayanan, the Director of IIITH, along with other professors, including Prof. Yegnanarayana, Prof. Anil Vuppala, and Prof. Sachin Chaudhary.
A team of faculty and students from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Gandipet, Hyderabad met faculty and students working in NLP/Language technologies. The visitors were given a lab tour and interacted with faculty and students who explained to them the research work going on in their labs.
