Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions

Applications are invited for Three (03), purely temporary, positions in the research project
“Development of Security Search Engine”, funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi. Initially, the appointment will be made for one year/ duration of the project.
Area of Work
The growth of IT and internet is leading to cyber attacks, however, lack of Security Search Engine is making users refer multiple sites for security information. We are building Security Information Retrieval and Extraction eNgine (SIREN), a search engine for ’Information and Cyber Security’ with coverage across the subdomains of security. In the initial feed for content extraction, we automated identification of 34,007 seed URLs with 400,726 child URLs of the security domain. The extracted and credible public content is also used for enriching ontologies (knowledge graphs) that can be used for understanding of vulnerabilities and threat patterns. The content can also be transformed to machine processable STIX/TAXII format so that SIEM tools can do appropriate risk mitigation.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
· Literature reviews
· Build prototypes using web application stacks
· Develop and deploy components and applications
· Install set-up and manage server and network infrastructure
Position and Qualification
1. Name of the position: Senior Research Fellow (01 No) (CODE: DST_SERC_SRF)
Education Qualification Preferred: MS/MTech/PG Diploma in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
and/or
3-4+ years or research experience in a research institute
and
2-3 years of work experience in Information Retrieval and Extraction / ML / NLP
or
2-3 years of work experience in OpenStack and Dockerization,Good knowledge in Application Security, knowledge in Cloud Architecture.
Salary: For SRF post, salary will be Rs 28,000/- per month (Subject to revision)
2. Name of the position: Junior Research Fellow (02 No) (CODE: DST_SERC_JRF)
Educational Qualitfication Preferred: MS/MTech in Computer Science or related discipline
and
1-2 years of work experience in AngularJS/ReactJS/Python
or
1-2 years of work experience in OpenStack and Dockerization. Good coding skills. Some knowledge in Application Security.
Salary: For both JRF posts, salary will be Rs25,000/- per month (subject to revision)

The candidates selected for the position of JRF will have the option to register for the PhD program at IIIT Hyderabad. However, for admission to the PhD program at IIIT Hyderabad, the candidate must meet eligibility requirements and follow due process to get admission.

d) Written exam shall be conducted only if there are many suitable applications. If held, the written exams will be conducted on24th or 25th August 2019 at Software Engineering Research Centre, International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad.
e) Only shortlisted candidates (based on written exam or based on other screening criteria) will be informed by e-mail to attend interviews to be held in the first or second week of September. We shall not use any other mode to communicate with the applicants.
