Nature India Highlights Dr. Deva Priyakumar's Pioneering Work

Nature India has in its latest edition highlighted Dr. Deva Priyakumar's pioneering research that has shed new light on the roles of a specific type of non-coding RNAs in bacteria1. Dr. Deva Priyakumar is an Assistant Professor with IIIT-H's Center for Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics (CCNSB).

In Feb 2009, Dr. Deva Priyakumar won the prestigious Young Scientist Research Award 2009 from the Government of India's Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). The award was given for his research proposal to investigate biologically relevant and therapeutically important heterogeneous nucleic acids using molecular dynamics simulations and computer aided drug design techniques.
