As part of IIITH’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations IIITH celebrated Corporate Founders Day to felicitate IIITH’s 6 corporate founding partners namely IBM, Oracle, Metamor, Microsoft, Motorola and Satyam. The event was attended by many industry leaders.

A 14-day Episteme Summer Camp was held at IIITH to expose young minds to the right tools enabling them to be valuable contributors to climate action on the theme Unleashing the Potential of India’s Young Minds in tech-based Sustainability, Climate Change and Entrepreneurship. It was a collaborative effort between IIITH, Pravaha Foundation, and Agastya International Foundation to provide a transformative learning experience for ‘exceptionally talented’ school students from 4th-9th grades.

Education Outreach conducted a Cyber Security Master Workshop under the College Research Affiliate Program, Batch 2. A total of 60 students participated along with 7 faculty members from colleges like Saintgits college of Engineering, Kerala; Vasavi college of Engineering, Hyderabad; KIET, kakinada and MRIET, Hyderabad.

Education Outreach conducted the Speech Processing Master Workshop under the college research affiliate program, Batch 2. Around 60 students and 6 faculty members participated from different colleges like SAINTGITS- Kerala, HITAM- Hyderabad, and KIET- Kakinada.

IIITH organized a Confluence Industry Academia Roundtable session on Leveraging the latest from AI to enable Industry 4.0 which is getting mainstream nowadays. This was a brainstorming session on AI in manufacturing along with the startup interactions themed around manufacturing process tracking, visual inspection of quality, and shop floor safety.

IIITH organized a Hands-on Workshop on IoT and oneM2M for Smart Cities under its College Research Affiliate Program. This program received support from the RESIDE project, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India and Smart City Research Center, IIITH.

A team of faculty and students from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Gandipet, Hyderabad met faculty and students working in NLP/Language technologies. The visitors were given a lab tour and interacted with faculty and students who explained to them the research work going on in their labs.
