MS Thesis
PTM Synthesis From Single Images For Photo Realistic Rendering
(Advisor: Dr. Anoop Namboodiri )
Objective : To realistically render an object under different illumination conditions by PTM modeling ,given its image or geometric structure.
The objective has been a continuously evolving one and right now progressing in the direction of image based constraint.

Abstract : The aim is Development of an Engine to recognize the telugu text in an online process.Recognition of online handwriting in Indian languages has special significance, as it can form an effective mechanism of data input, as opposed to keyboards that needs multiple keystrokes and control sequences to input many characters.
-This is a project envisaged on a grand scale for many indian languages by the OHWR consortium compromising some of the premier research institutes based in India and IIIT being one of them.I am part of the group in CVIT which works on developing recognition engine for Telugu.

- Detection of Linear Roads From Aerial Images(Still going on).

Abstract : Objective of this project is detection of linear roads from aerial images using image based approaches.
-Detection of Linear Structures mainly roads from images has been quite an interesting area of research from quite sometime.Our work is mainly concerned with extraction of linear features from aerial images employing canny edge detection algorithm and further filtering them for roads segments using heuristics.Our recent work has been in the direction of implementing this algorithm on an Image pyramid for better results.
