MS Thesis
- Description: RoboCup Rescue is a disaster simulation platform which helps in designing planning and management strategies during natural calamities. The participants (Agent teams) are required to rescue civilians and extinguish fires during simulated earthquakes and fire accidents. This is a competition and the teams are ranked based on their performance. The score formula currently used considers very few parameters and does not render a true picture of what happens durign the simulation. This inadequacy is the motivation to design a strong evaluation scheme to rigorously test the participating agent teams.
- Contribution: Designed and implemented a new evaluation scheme for RoboCup Rescue Agent Simulation Competition 2009, Graz, Austria. The Score Vector, as the name suggests, is a vector of parameters. The dimensions of the 'vector' are the important factors that influence the game. These parameters monitor the game and provide analysis of the game at a microscopic level.Hence, it poses a multi-parameter optimization challenge and many other multi-agent challenges to the participants. It also possible to design new scenarios to aptly challenge the agent teams.
