MS Thesis
Classroom Teaching and Management using handhelds
(Thesis Supervisor: Dr. Vishal Garg)
The goal is to develop an application suite to facilitate classroom teaching and management using handhelds. The teaching application will stream the lecture slides, annotation done by the teacher and teacher’s voice to student handhelds, in real time. The management application will allow the teacher to manage the class by taking student attendance, quizzes, queuing student queries, etc.
Technologies used: C++, Qt and various open source softwares.

Projects

  • Development of a web service for a Building energy simulation program called EnergyPlus
    Faculty Advisor: Dr. Vishal Garg and Mr. Shatrunjay Rawat
    Technologies used: HTML, Java Script, AJAX and PHP
  • Compiler course project
    Developed a compiler for a subset of C for 8086 architecture using LINUX tools FLEX and Bison.
    Technologies used: Lex, YACC
  • Reverse engineered a malware
    Analyzed the binary of Backdoor.Win32.Bluntman.420 using the tool IDA Pro.
  • Embedded system project
    Developed a burglar alarm using 89C51 micro-controller chip. Using a photo resistor the interruption of light falling on the resistor is noticed which in turn makes the alarm to ring.
  • Website maintenance
    Maintained a website(www.techease.in) which was constructed in Drupal
