Multicore computer architectures, Linux kernel, Embedded Systems

Computer Skills

  • Assembly Languages  : - 8085/86, 8051, SIMD(mmx,sse,cbea), AD adsp, TI tms320c54xx
  • HW design Languages Used  : - Verilog, VHDL.
  • Programming Languages Used  : - C/C++, TCL.
  • Simulator Used  : - SimpleScalar .
  • Tools/Libraries Used  : - Synopsys tools, IBM Cell sdk, Intel compilers and libraries, AD visualdsp++, MATLAB, Xilinx, Altera, TI code composer studio

Projects

  • Modeling of UWB(ultra wideband) communication systems
    Jan 2008 –May 2008
    Modeled the UWB physical layer assuming a BPSK modulation scheme with a Gaussian doublet waveform. Implemented the Saleh-Valenzuela model for receiver design based on a simple rake receiver and voter.
  • Proximity based mouse design
    To power gate a USB mouse based on the proximity of the hand. Since mouses are kept connected even if the system is not in use, the power can be saved by gating it based on proximity.
  • Parallelizing framework
    Developed a parallelizing framework for image processing algorithms based on a design pattern approach.
  • Basic SDR system
    Designed a basic SDR system that can do both ASK and FSK with minimal reconfiguration based on Cypress PSoC's.
  • Basic wireless sensor node
    Designed a basic wireless sensor node to be used in a wireless sensor network
