To maintain high level of academic standards and smooth running of the academic session, IIIT completes all admissions before the start of the academic session.
IIIT Hyderabad does NOT participate in MULTIPLE ROUNDS of allotment through JEE (Main) Central Counseling Board.
All admissions are through IIIT, Hyderabad portals, basing on ranks in JEE (Main).

II. Modes of Admission
There are four modes of admission.
a). [JEE (Main)] - Students should take JEE (Main)-2013, and must separately apply for IIIT counseling. The students will be admitted on the basis of the rank in the examination.

Eligibility: Students must take JEE (Main) - 2013 exam.

Application Fees: Rs. 1400.
Selection Process: Based on rank in JEE (Main).
b) [CLD - EHD] - For CLD and EHD trans disciplinary programs, Admission through written examination (held on 21 April 2013) followed by interview. Result/Interview dates will be announced soon.
Programs: CLD, EHD
Eligibility for CLD/EHD:
Stream 1:Higher Secondary/class XII or equivalent in Science stream with Physics and Mathematics.
Stream 2: Higher Secondary/class XII or equivalent in Humanities, Arts and Social Science with Mathematics.
For CLD program, a keen intrest or work in languages and aptitude for for logical analysis and Mathematics is essential.
For EHD program, a keen intrest or work in Arts, Humanities, Social Science and aptitude for logical analysis and Mathematics is essential.
Selection Process: A shortlisted set of applicants will be called for interview based on their performance in written test. The final selection is based on performance in the interview.
c) NTSE, Olympiads, KVPY [NOK] - For CSD, ECD, CND, BSD, CLD and EHD, students who have qualified for (i)NTSE, (ii) KVPY, and (iii) are selected for training to represent India in international Olympiads, students should go through a selection procedure to get admitted.
Programs: CSD, ECD, CND, BSD, CLD and EHD
Eligibility: Class 12th passed in 2012 or 2013 and must have qualified for (i) NTSE, (or) (ii) KVPY, (or) (iii) are selected for training to represent India in international Olympiads.

ApplicationFees: Rs. 1200.
Selection Process: Based on candidates record and outcome of the entrance exam and interview.
Syllabus & Exam: The two-hour exam is designed to test the scientific thinking ability, and will consist of both objective and subjective questions. Those who qualify in the test will appear before a committee for an interview on the same day.
Entrance & interview date: 15th June 2013
Documents to be sent: Mark sheets, NTSC/Olympiad/KVPY certificates for initial screening
of the candidates to be sent on before 1st June 2013 through email to email@example.com with Subject as "Documents for NOK application [ with your application number ] "
Documents can also be sent through post to " Chair, UG Admissions [NOK mode], IIIT-H, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - 500 032 ", should reach IIIT-H on or before 1st June 2013.
Please note that there is a prior screening of NOK candidates based on their performance in the higher secondary/CBSE/ICSE exams. Candidates will be invited to appear for the exam on the basis of their meeting the eligibility requirement as well as their performance in the higher secondary/CBSE/ICSE exams.
d) [DASA] - For CSE and ECE programs, students who have foreign passports or have studies abroad are admitted based on their SAT II scores.

Eligibility: Applicants should have studied 11th and 12th or equivalent outside India, (or) Must be a foreign passport holder. It is recommended that they take AP Calculus course, AP Physics or AP Chemistry course.

e) Lateral Entry after second year of B.E./B.Tech. elsewhere.
Eligibility: Applicants who have successfully completed second year of B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/IT or Electronics & Communications Engineering are eligible to join 4-year dual degree programme in B.Tech & MS by research in CSE or B.Tech & MS by research in ECE.
