About the Program
This is a two year advanced course driven masters' programme with opportunities for project work in the final semester. Apart from core competency courses for bioinformatics, this program provides a choice of electives both from the biology as well as IT domains. Several of these electives are project based, providing practical training to the students.
Objectives
- To provide in-depth knowledge in the area of bioinformatics and computational biology.
- To provide knowledge regarding the use of IT in the field of bioinformatics.
Advantages (for the student)
- The students will become more confident with the computational tools and databases - in terms of usage as well as development.
- The students will acquire sound basis for future research prospects.
