Program Name : MS by Research in IT in Power Systems

About the Program:

This is a research-oriented Masters program with an expected duration of 2 years. In the first year student is required to take few courses depending on his research. In second year he/she will be completely engaged in research work.

Objectives:

  • To impart knowledge of IT related applications for Power Systems.
  • To impart Power Systems knowledge for deregulated and restructures power system.
  • To impart knowledge regarding use of IT and IT-based systems.
  • To train the student in developing the capability for independent research.

Curriculum (Semester-wise):

A student should take at least 48 credits at the institute to be eligible for the MS degree, 24 of which should be MS thesis credits. At least 16 credits of courses at level 4000 and above should be taken for the degree. Students must register for at least 12 credits for the first three semesters and for at least 4 credits thereafter.
